The National Football League has announced the release date for the NFL schedule 2022. The much-anticipated schedule will be released on Wednesday, April 15th at 7 PM ET. This year's schedule is highlighted by some marquee matchups including a Thanksgiving Day game between the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears and a Christmas Day game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. Fans can also look forward to another installment of the Patriots-Steelers rivalry in Week 15.
The NFL schedule for the 2022 season won't be released until early 2021, but there are some things we can expect. The league is expected to continue expanding the Thursday Night Football package and international games. There could also be a new offseason program in place by then. Stay tuned for updates!

The NFL 2022 season begins on Sept. 8, with Thursday Night Football to follow soon after the beginning of regular games in early November (date TBA). The first game will take place a week before Thanksgiving and end around mid-January 2023; this is the earliest start date since 2015 which avoided Labor Day Weekend multitasking by two weeks - but don’t worry about having too much time off work!

This season, opponents will be determined by the following divisional matchups:
AFC East vs. NFC West
AFC North vs. NFC East
AFC South vs. NFC North
AFC West vs. NFC South
